Patient anxiety for even the most minor surgery is common. For children and their parents, it can be even more so. At Wayne Surgical Center, we do our best to help address any concerns the family may have.
FAMILY TOUR
At the pre-admission visit, both the child and parents are given a family tour of our bright, cheerful center. Being made familiar with our facility and staff can
help alleviate unfounded fears for the young
patient and parents.
EARLY IN THE DAY PROCEDURES
Since recovery for young people can be longer than with adults, surgical procedures for children are scheduled early in the day. This allows for extended recovery time before our young patients leave the center with their parents.
PRIVATE RECOVERY ROOMS
After the procedure, young patients awaken in their Private Recovery Room greeted by smiling parents at their bedside.
