What You Can Expect

Unlike a hospital, Wayne Surgical Center caters to the care and needs of patients who do not anticipate a long stay. You can expect to be back home in just a few hours after your stay with us.

Due to recent reports concerning the Corona Covid 19 Virus we have been monitoring the CDC and WHO websites and taking necessary precautions. If you have a fever and a cough and have recently traveled to China, South Korea, Japan, Italy or Iran or you have been exposed to someone potentially infected with the Corona Covid 19 Virus, please visit your nearest Emergency Room.  Anyone who is sick should not keep an appointment at the surgical center. If you have any questions please contact your physician or the surgical center via extension 111 or 138. We will be happy to provide with all the latest information.

How It Works…

You will be contacted by a Wayne Surgical Center staff member prior to your admission to determine your individual needs. Your doctor’s office will instruct you as to what paperwork you will need to bring with you. You will be greeted promptly upon arrival by our friendly experienced staff.

You will meet the health care team assigned to your procedure during your stay with us. Your procedure will be performed in our state of the art surgery suites. All the latest technologies and equipment are utilized at the Wayne Surgical Center.

After your surgical procedure, you will spend a short time recovering in our 1st level recovery area and then move to a comfortable lounge chair, have something to eat and drink, watch TV and continue recovering. At this point, your family members can join you in a relaxed family-oriented environment. You will go home with full instructions.

Remember that you CANNOT drive yourself if you are having anesthesia, NO EXCEPTIONS. You will need a designated driver. We anticipate that you will have a positive experience at Wayne Surgical Center. We look forward to caring for you and your family.
